Your outer envelope's main job is to get itself opened. If it does not get opened, no one can respond. There are many ways to accomplish this. Tempt them with a promise of success or wealth or benefits if they read inside. Use double windows or "peek-a-boo" cut outs that show part of an exciting offer inside. Ask a provocative question that piques the reader's curiosity. Or impress them with the simplicity or elegance of the envelope design. Remember that the envelope sets the tone for your package. It should set the stage and harmonize with what's inside.
