One could argue that if you do not get the first purchase or donation, you'll never get any more. But too many people confuse first time buyers with customers. That first purchase often costs you money. The all-important second purchase secures the customer and begins to make you money. After a buyer has made the second purchase, your chances to retain them increase exponentially.
